Distribution Fiber Optic Cable is ideal for applications that require a single termination point with multiple fibers; the tight buffered design allows Fiber Distribution Cable to be installed as a building backbone and/or for inter-building campus applications. In addition, Fiber Optic Distribution Cable is available in single mode and multimode variants. Implemented within these fiber modes, there are Plenum and Riser options that yield to the National Electric Code (NEC), with a variation of Indoor/Outdoor or Indoor-Only jackets available. Generally, Tight Buffer Distribution Fiber Cables have strand counts ranging from 2 fibers to 72 fibers, though higher fiber strand counts are obtainable and referred to as  Micro Distribution Fiber.

Plenum OFNP Distribution Fiber Optic Cable

Indoor Tight Buffered Plenum Fiber Optic Cables are designed for interior building applications, such as in walls, between floors, and within air ducts. The plenum rating maintains that the cable is slower to succumb to flames, releasing less smoke through a fire-retardant jacket. As the name suggests, Indoor/Outdoor Tight Buffered Plenum Fiber Optic Cables meet the same specifications as Indoor Tight Buffered Plenum Fiber Optic Cables. However, Indoor/Outdoor Tight Buffered Cables are able to travel outdoors. The outer jacket of Indoor/Outdoor Tight Buffered Plenum Fiber Optic Cables is assembled with a UV stabilizer to provide protection against sun exposure and has anti-fungus protection for underground applications. Riser OFNR Distribution Fiber Optic Cable

Indoor Riser Distribution Fiber Optic Cables are ideal for vertical runs within a building, such as a shaft or a duct that expands multiple floors. Riser Indoor Distribution Fiber Optic Cable is available in both Single-Mode and OM1, OM3 and OM4 Multimode, composed of up to 72 strands. An option suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications is also available with the riser rating; comprised of up to 144 strands, Riser Indoor/Outdoor Distribution Fiber Optic Cable is available in both Single-Mode and Multimode options. In order to further the optimization and maximize the durability of Riser Indoor/Outdoor Distribution Fiber Optic Cable, an armored version is available for additional strength in direct burial and aerial applications.
